BioBags are shelf stable, just like paper plates or paper towels. There are no chemical additives to enhance decomposition, the bags biodegrade naturally when exposed to the earth’s elements and micro-organisms in the soil. BioBags “breathe”, which allows heat and moisture to escape or evaporate. This feature reduces bacterial build-up of collected waste, thus reducing odor. Our biodegradable plant-based bags have the same look and feel as petroleum-based bags without the toxic and polluting side effects. A far superior alternative to styrofoam & plastic made from oil. Please note, composting is required for biodegradation of these products, and these compostable bags will biodegrade within 45 days in a commercial composting facility.
